Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise shipments efficiently and accurately.
- Sort, price, and tag merchandise according to company standards.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient stockroom area.
- Assist in moving merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation processes.
- Identify and report discrepancies or damaged merchandise.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of goods and maintain store presentation standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist customers with inquiries and locate merchandise when necessary, providing excellent service.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and customer interaction.
- Basic understanding of inventory procedures and stock rotation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- High school diploma or GED.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative to improve processes.
