Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival and throughout their stay, providing a first-class impression.
- Proactively offer assistance and anticipate guest needs to ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
- Provide comprehensive and accurate information about local attractions, events, dining, transportation, and hotel services.
- Make reservations and arrangements for guests, including restaurants, theatre tickets, tours, car rentals, and other bespoke services.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns efficiently and professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain an updated and in-depth knowledge of local happenings, events, and changes in the area.
- Assist guests with luggage handling and storage when required.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments (e.g., Front Desk, Housekeeping, Valet) to fulfill guest requests promptly.
- Manage and maintain guest profiles, ensuring personalized service delivery for returning guests.
- Handle incoming mail, packages, and messages for guests.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and foster strong working relationships with colleagues.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Profound knowledge of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, including local attractions, dining, and transportation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Proficiency in using reservation systems and standard office software.
- A professional and polished appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Concierge or Guest Relations professional in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English (e.g., French, German, Mandarin).
- Certification from a recognized hospitality program or professional concierge association.
- Experience with Marriott's proprietary systems (e.g., Opera PMS).
