Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, providing information and taking messages as required.
  • Assist guests with luggage, transportation, and local area information, including recommendations for dining and attractions.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised front desk area.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to ensure smooth operations and guest requests are met.
  • Perform night audit duties as needed, including balancing accounts and preparing daily reports.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting (minimum 12 months).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm approach under pressure.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS), such as Opera.
  • Knowledge of a second language (e.g., French, German, Spanish).
  • A hospitality-related certification or diploma.
  • Proven track record of exceeding guest expectations.
