Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team in Ajax, Ontario. This is an immediate hiring opportunity for an individual passionate about creating visually appealing and high-performing retail environments. As a Kroger Merchandiser, you will be instrumental in bringing our brand vision to life within the store, ensuring products are displayed strategically and effectively to attract customers and drive sales. Key Responsibilities
- Execute visual merchandising strategies and planograms to create attractive and impactful product displays.
- Ensure all products are accurately priced, clearly labeled, and appropriately stocked on shelves and promotional areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential stock discrepancies, and collaborate with store management on ordering needs.
- Implement and maintain promotional signage, special displays, and seasonal themes in accordance with company guidelines.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure brand consistency.
- Provide constructive feedback to store teams on merchandising best practices and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate closely with store associates and management to ensure a cohesive and positive shopping experience.
- Report on merchandising activities, stock movements, and competitor initiatives.
- Assist with new product launches and category resets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in visual merchandising or retail display design.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to interpret and execute planograms accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending and reaching.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a retail merchandising role, preferably within a grocery or large-format retail environment.
- Post-secondary education in Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
