Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers, product managers, and developers to understand project requirements and user needs.
- Assist in conducting user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and visual mockups, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and design systems.
- Participate in design critiques and iterate on designs based on feedback from team members and user testing results.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and best practices within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies.
- Document design decisions and specifications for development teams.
Required Skills
- A strong portfolio showcasing design projects (can include academic, personal, or bootcamp work).
- Foundational understanding of UI/UX principles, design thinking methodologies, and user-centered design approaches.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
- Fluency in English (working language).
- Basic understanding of usability heuristics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience from a recognized design bootcamp.
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Knowledge of French or German is a plus.
