Key Responsibilities
- Manually lift, lower, and slide packages weighing up to 70 lbs. independently.
- Sort and scan packages accurately according to destination codes and manifest.
- Load and unload packages onto/off trailers and conveyances using proper techniques to ensure safe transit.
- Operate package handling equipment safely and efficiently, including handheld scanners and basic material handling tools.
- Adhere strictly to all UPS safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to optimize operational flow and minimize hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational status and any issues.
- Work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy to prevent errors, damages, and ensure correct package routing.
