Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise, verifying contents against invoices and sorting items appropriately.
- Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare merchandise for outgoing shipments or transfer to sales floor.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse or backroom.
- Perform routine inventory checks and assist with stocking shelves, ensuring product availability for customers.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Identify and report any damaged goods, discrepancies, or safety hazards.
- Assist customers with carrying out large items when necessary, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team culture by demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and tracking merchandise.
