Job Description
Meta is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team with an immediate start. As an ML Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models and systems across various domains, including recommendation systems, content understanding, user behavior prediction, and more. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust machine learning models and systems that power Meta's products.
- Conduct research into novel ML algorithms and techniques to improve existing systems and create new capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and integrate ML models into production.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and inference, ensuring data quality and availability.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize the performance of deployed ML models, addressing issues and iterating on improvements.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews, maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.
- Drive innovation in machine learning applications, staying abreast of industry trends and academic advancements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C++, or Java.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling.
- Experience with major machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Meta's internal ML platforms and infrastructure (e.g., FBLearner Flow).
- Track record of shipping impactful machine learning features or products at scale.
- Publications in top-tier machine learning conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI).
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design for ML model evaluation.
- Domain expertise in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, recommendation systems, or reinforcement learning.
