Job Description
Meta is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Data Scientist to join our innovative team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Key Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our products.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define, log, and monitor key metrics, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
- Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate the impact of new features and product changes.
- Build and maintain predictive models to forecast product performance, identify trends, and detect anomalies.
- Communicate complex analyses and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving data-informed decisions.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
- Identify and evaluate new data sources and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Contribute to the broader data science community at Meta by sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, including experimental design, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data concepts and insights to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
- Experience with large-scale data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g., classification, clustering, natural language processing).
- Experience working with product teams and influencing product strategy.
