Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the user experience design of new features and products from concept to launch across Facebook's platforms.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on solutions.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to showcase design solutions and gather stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to ensure a cohesive and high-quality user experience.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the product development process.
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, guidelines, and libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Present design concepts and rationales clearly and persuasively to internal teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for digital products, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of work.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Demonstrated expertise in user-centered design principles, usability, and interaction design.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for large-scale consumer applications or social platforms.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints.
  • Experience with motion design and animation to enhance user interfaces.
  • Master's degree in HCI, Design, or a related field.
  • Contribution to design systems or pattern libraries.
