Job Description

Allied Builders System is urgently seeking experienced and highly skilled Carpenters to join our dynamic construction team in Honolulu, Hawaii. Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood materials and other substitutes using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures at heights.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, frames, flooring, trim, and hardware.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
  • Supervise apprentices and other construction workers.
  • Ensure all work adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper care for tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and project team members to ensure project timelines are met.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Expertise in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
  • Understanding of building codes and safety regulations (OSHA)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30)
