Job Description

You will be instrumental in supporting our client teams, preparing financial reports, assisting with audit procedures, and contributing to the accurate and efficient management of financial data. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior accountants and auditors in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new accounting processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Adhere to company policies, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience in an accounting or finance department.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero).
