Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients to and from medical facilities, appointments, and residences in the Columbus, Ohio area.
- Assist patients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges, using appropriate safety equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, stretchers).
- Secure patients and their personal belongings safely within the transport vehicle.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disinfected vehicle interior and exterior.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and medical staff.
- Complete accurate daily logs, trip sheets, and patient care documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure for all scheduled transports.
- Provide a positive and reassuring presence for patients throughout their journey.
Required Skills
- Valid Ohio Driver's License (minimum 2 years of driving experience)
- Clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3-5 years)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of punctuality and reliability.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs unassisted, more with assistance or equipment).
- Basic knowledge of the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area roads and traffic patterns.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided upon hire).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
