Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage consulting engagements from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and implement strategic recommendations for clients based on comprehensive analysis of their business needs, market landscape, and competitive environment.
- Conduct detailed analyses of client operations, organizational structures, and processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and overall performance.
- Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and presentations to gather critical information, validate findings, and communicate recommendations effectively to all levels of client management.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and cultivating opportunities for expanded service offerings.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams within Grant Thornton, leveraging specialized expertise to deliver integrated and holistic solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their professional development, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the growth of the advisory practice.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in management consulting to continuously enhance service offerings and maintain thought leadership.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and impactful presentations to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to clients and internal senior management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in management consulting or a related advisory role, preferably with a focus on strategy, operations, or change management.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Superior communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, operational improvement, organizational design, and change management methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for complex analysis, PowerPoint for compelling presentations, Word for professional reports, Visio for process mapping).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA) from a reputable institution or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, CPA, CFA).
- Experience working with Canadian businesses or a keen understanding of the Canadian market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Prior experience within a Big Four or other global consulting firm.
- Specialized industry experience in sectors such as financial services, public sector, manufacturing, technology, or healthcare.
