Key Responsibilities
- Receive and stow products, ensuring accurate inventory placement and efficient space utilization.
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently, using hand-held scanners and following precise instructions.
- Pack and ship orders, preparing them for delivery to customers by ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers after receiving proper training and certification (where applicable) to move and retrieve products.
- Utilize hand-held scanners, computers, and other technology to track inventory, update records, and complete tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all Amazon safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including general housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily productivity, quality, and safety goals.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support various operational needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 lbs. (approximately 22 kg) repeatedly and safely.
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures, loud noise, and dust, typical of a warehouse setting.
- Basic computer navigation skills for using internal systems and scanners.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanning technology.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
