Key Responsibilities
- Operate a UPS package delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver and pick up packages promptly and courteously, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Verify accurate package counts and complete necessary paperwork/digital entries.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and fellow team members.
- Handle packages of varying sizes and weights, including lifting, carrying, and pushing.
- Utilize handheld delivery technology to record delivery and pickup information.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps and GPS systems.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and responding to inquiries professionally.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and utilize GPS technology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Basic computer literacy for handheld device operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or transportation role.
- Familiarity with the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
