Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input a variety of data types, including numerical, textual, and statistical information, into designated systems and databases.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data before and after entry, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors.
- Prepare and sort documents for data entry, ensuring all necessary information is present and legible.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
- Organize and file documents and records after data entry, both physically and electronically, for easy retrieval.
- Generate reports, retrieve data, and perform database searches as required by management or team leads.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding data entry progress, issues, or clarifications.
- Adhere to established data entry procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist with data cleanup and maintenance projects to ensure database accuracy and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry or a related administrative role (minimum 12 months)
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 45 WPM with 95% accuracy)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively in a remote setting
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space conducive to productive work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare-specific data entry or medical terminology
