Job Description

BrightView is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Landscaping Crew for seasonal work in the vibrant Michigan region, specifically based out of our Farmington Hills operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the beautification and upkeep of various commercial, municipal, and residential properties, working alongside experienced professionals. As a Landscaping Crew Member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and aesthetics of our clients’ outdoor environments. This seasonal position typically runs from early spring through late fall, offering consistent full-time hours during peak landscaping season. You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks that require physical stamina, attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to design specifications.
  • Weed, mulch, and cultivate garden beds.
  • Operate hand tools and basic power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with irrigation system installation and repair, as needed.
  • Participate in seasonal clean-ups, including leaf removal and debris management.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients and represent BrightView professionally on job sites.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (3-6 months) in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment (e.g., zero-turn mowers, skid steers).
  • Knowledge of plant identification and proper pruning techniques.
