Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for motion and control applications.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
- Participate in design reviews, offering technical insights and recommendations.
- Develop and execute test plans, analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and product management.
- Identify and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during product development and production.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in engineering.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, kinematics, dynamics, and material science.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the industrial automation, aerospace, or fluid power industry.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, injection molding.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- P.E. license or EIT certification.
