Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for complex IT initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, developing comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and track project expenses, providing regular reports to stakeholders and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and escalating critical concerns to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and clients, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and progress.
- Oversee the successful delivery of solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards, business requirements, and are deployed effectively.
- Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Prepare and present project status reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including executive leadership and client teams.
- Act as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools, contributing to the organizational maturity in project delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in IT project management, successfully delivering complex software development, infrastructure, or system integration projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe certification is a plus) and experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, with a track record of on-time and on-budget project delivery.
- Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Fluent in English; professional working proficiency in French is highly desirable given the Quebec location.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with vendor management and external stakeholder coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working in a global consulting environment or for a large enterprise.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or specific enterprise applications.
- Bilingualism (English and French) for effective communication in Quebec's diverse professional landscape.
