Key Responsibilities

  • Support in day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, contributing to timely financial reporting.
  • Reconcile accounts and financial statements to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and managers on various accounting projects and tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish accounting standards (UoR) and internal policies.
  • Utilize accounting software for efficient data processing and record-keeping.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training and development programs provided by Deloitte.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and analyses as required.
  • Support audit preparation by compiling necessary documentation.

Required Skills

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or final year student ready to commit to full-time work).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
  • Excellent communication skills in Polish (C1 level) and English (B2 level or higher).
  • High level of accuracy and a meticulous approach to tasks.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and develop a long-term career in accounting.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or part-time experience in an accounting or finance department (even non-specific, demonstrating interest).
  • Basic theoretical knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, balance sheet, income statement).
  • Familiarity with any accounting software (e.g., SAP, Symfonia, Comarch ERP) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Polish tax regulations (CIT, VAT, PIT) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Motivation to pursue professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) in the future.
