Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and install complex plumbing systems, including water heaters, boilers, pipes, drains, and fixtures, in residential and commercial properties.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Lead and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and installation of plumbing systems.
- Adhere strictly to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional communication with clients regarding service recommendations and project status.
- Prepare accurate estimates, material lists, and complete service reports promptly.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requirements.
Required Skills
- Valid Master Plumber License (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating)
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in residential and commercial plumbing.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing all types of plumbing issues.
- In-depth knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe Register qualification (desirable for boiler work).
- Experience with advanced heating systems or renewable energy plumbing solutions.
