Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and install complex plumbing systems, including water heaters, boilers, pipes, drains, and fixtures, in residential and commercial properties.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
  • Lead and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and installation of plumbing systems.
  • Adhere strictly to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional communication with clients regarding service recommendations and project status.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, material lists, and complete service reports promptly.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requirements.

Required Skills

  • Valid Master Plumber License (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating)
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in residential and commercial plumbing.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing all types of plumbing issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid UK driving license with a clean record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gas Safe Register qualification (desirable for boiler work).
