Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified plumbers and heating engineers with various tasks on-site, including installations, repairs, and maintenance across residential and commercial properties.
- Learn to identify, use, and maintain a wide range of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Prepare work areas, including laying down protective coverings, clearing obstacles, and ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings according to specifications and under direct supervision.
- Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as clearing blockages, fixing minor leaks, and replacing components as guided by experienced team members.
- Observe and learn best practices for diagnosing plumbing issues, performing efficient repairs, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, including diligent tidying up after job completion.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to and from various job sites.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Participate actively and enthusiastically in all ongoing training and development programs.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanour at all times.
- Complete all required apprenticeship coursework, practical assessments, and portfolio documentation diligently and on schedule.
