Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and various financial analyses under supervision.
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and other general ledger account reconciliations.
- Process journal entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Support senior accountants and auditors during month-end and year-end close processes.
- Verify the accuracy of financial data and reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Collaborate with team members to gather necessary financial information and respond to inquiries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
