Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and various financial analyses under supervision.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and other general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Process journal entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Support senior accountants and auditors during month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary financial information and respond to inquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
