Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the definition, analysis, and management of system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
- Develop and refine system architectures, designs, and interface specifications for complex hardware and software solutions.
- Conduct system-level integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with specified requirements and performance objectives.
- Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and technical analyses to support design decisions and resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external reviews.
- Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and other formal program milestones.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex projects.
- Proficiency with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., DOORs, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools).
- Experience in requirements analysis, system design, integration, verification, and validation.
- Strong understanding of the full system development lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the defense, aerospace, or government sectors.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Professional certifications in systems engineering (e.g., CSEP).
