Job Description

Lockheed Martin Canada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cambridge, Ontario. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the full lifecycle of complex defense and aerospace systems, from concept development and requirements definition through design, integration, test, and deployment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the definition, analysis, and management of system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Develop and refine system architectures, designs, and interface specifications for complex hardware and software solutions.
  • Conduct system-level integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with specified requirements and performance objectives.
  • Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and technical analyses to support design decisions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external reviews.
  • Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and other formal program milestones.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex projects.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., DOORs, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools).
  • Experience in requirements analysis, system design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of the full system development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the defense, aerospace, or government sectors.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Professional certifications in systems engineering (e.g., CSEP).
