Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced algorithms for robot navigation, perception, manipulation, and control.
- Integrate and test new hardware components, sensors, and actuators into existing and new robotic platforms.
- Perform extensive testing, debugging, and validation of robotic systems in simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
- Analyze complex data sets from robot operations to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Document designs, algorithms, and test procedures thoroughly.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in robotics and artificial intelligence.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in robotics engineering.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Experience with motion planning, inverse kinematics, and robot control theory.
- Familiarity with sensor integration (Lidar, cameras, IMUs) and data processing.
- Solid grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques for robotics perception or control.
- Experience with parallel computing or GPU programming.
- Prior experience with mobile manipulation, legged locomotion, or dexterous manipulation.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and robust system design.
