Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed design, analysis, and validation of aerospace components and systems using CAD/CAE tools.
  • Conduct structural, aerodynamic, thermal, and performance analyses to ensure design integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement test plans for prototypes and production models, analyzing results and making necessary design modifications.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance to integrate designs and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing expert insight and constructive feedback.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and innovation in engineering methodologies.
  • Support continuous product improvement initiatives and resolve in-service issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of professional experience in aerospace design, analysis, or testing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX) and FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace materials, structures, aerodynamics, and propulsion systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to complex problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAA, EASA, Transport Canada).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Project management experience in an aerospace context.
  • Experience with flight test support or certification processes.
