Job Description
Forge & Foster is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Frontend Developer with a strong emphasis on React.js and Shopify development to join our dynamic team in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Implement and customize Shopify themes (Liquid) to align with design specifications and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web experiences.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with Shopify stores and custom frontend applications.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility, and adherence to web standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices within the team.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend-related issues promptly.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in frontend development and e-commerce.
- Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
- Proficiency in React.js and its core principles, including Hooks and component-based architecture.
- Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/Sass/Less.
- Demonstrable experience with Shopify theme development using Liquid.
- Expertise in building responsive and adaptive designs for various devices and screen sizes.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Solid understanding of modern build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, npm/yarn).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client.
- Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for web applications.
