Job Description

Forge & Foster is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Frontend Developer with a strong emphasis on React.js and Shopify development to join our dynamic team in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Implement and customize Shopify themes (Liquid) to align with design specifications and client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web experiences.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services with Shopify stores and custom frontend applications.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility, and adherence to web standards.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices within the team.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend-related issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in frontend development and e-commerce.
  • Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
  • Proficiency in React.js and its core principles, including Hooks and component-based architecture.
  • Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/Sass/Less.
  • Demonstrable experience with Shopify theme development using Liquid.
  • Expertise in building responsive and adaptive designs for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • Solid understanding of modern build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, npm/yarn).
