Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks and test suites for various game features and systems.
  • Collaborate with QA Leads, Developers, and Designers to understand game features and identify optimal automation strategies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality feedback.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and report defects accurately to development teams.
  • Research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and technologies to improve automation coverage and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members on automation best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize automation performance, stability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality automation code standards.
  • Actively contribute to the overall quality strategy and continuous improvement of the QA process.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation engineering, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, C#) and object-oriented programming.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or custom game engine tools).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience integrating automation into build pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and profiling tools.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Previous experience working on AAA game titles.
  • A passion for video games and an understanding of game development pipelines.
