Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain your commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Safely transport dry van freight across assigned routes, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Manage your time and log books accurately and efficiently, utilizing electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Manage personal expenses and business operations related to your trucking venture.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) and satisfactory safety history
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ELD compliance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Own a reliable and well-maintained tractor
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement (not required, but a plus)
- Experience with dry van freight
- Familiarity with various regions and lanes across the US
