Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, validation, and analysis of client data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform actuarial calculations and modeling under the guidance of senior actuaries, supporting pension, health, and general insurance projects.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and other client-facing materials summarizing actuarial findings and recommendations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models and tools, including spreadsheet-based applications.
  • Contribute to research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to actuarial practice.
  • Participate in internal team meetings and training sessions to enhance actuarial knowledge and professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of project tasks.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of work processes and calculations for audit and review purposes.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new concepts and software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of at least one actuarial examination (e.g., SOA Exam P/FM or CAS Exam 1/2).
  • Prior internship or work experience in an actuarial, financial, or data analysis role.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Experience with actuarial software (e.g., ProVal, MoSes, WTW products) is a plus.
