Key Responsibilities
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or voice commands.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently after proper training and certification.
- Verify product quantity, quality, and condition before packing for shipment, ensuring zero defects.
- Build stable and secure pallets of merchandise for transport, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Ensure all orders are correctly labeled, scanned, and prepared for loading.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, actively participating in housekeeping efforts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and food safety regulations (if applicable).
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operations and team goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand English instructions and safety warnings.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for order verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy to minimize errors.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) as an Order Selector or in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, cherry picker) with current certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding productivity targets.
