Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely unload incoming freight and load outgoing shipments according to company procedures and customer requirements.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing them against shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, manifests).
- Operate various material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified), in a safe and efficient manner.
- Sort, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet Lineage's standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns immediately to a supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment (which may include cold/freezer conditions).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar industrial environment.
- Certification or experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
