Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of Nandocas, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and performance reviews to optimise productivity and team morale.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food, adhering strictly to Nando's preparation and presentation standards.
  • Maintain impeccable hygiene, safety, and operational standards in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective cost control, waste management, and proactive upselling strategies.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction is paramount.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimise loss and ensure product availability.
  • Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Analyse sales data and operational reports to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Champion Nando's culture and values within the restaurant, serving as a role model for the team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on staff development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and experience with budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a guest-first mentality.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, Food Safety Level 2/3).
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (POS systems, Microsoft Office).

  • Prior experience managing a restaurant with high volume and multiple shifts.
  • A track record of exceeding sales targets and improving operational efficiency.
