Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decor.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests, adhering to all service standards and special requests.
- Clear tables, transport used dishes and glassware to the dishwashing area, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event space.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, banquet captains, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with the breakdown of banquet rooms after events, including cleaning, stacking chairs, and storing equipment.
- Handle and store banquet equipment properly to prevent damage and ensure longevity.
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance at all times, reflecting the hotel's brand standards.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and stand for extended periods.

- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) as a banquet server or in a similar food and beverage service role.
- Smart Serve certification is required prior to employment.
- Familiarity with various types of event setups and service styles.
- Experience working in a hotel or conference centre environment.
