Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant provincial and federal financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation (Chartered Professional Accountant)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French (bilingualism preferred)

- Experience in the food distribution or manufacturing industry
- Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
