While the recruitment and initial onboarding process will be coordinated through our Milwaukee facility, the ultimate career destination and work environment will be in the beautiful and vibrant province of Prince Edward Island.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diverse welding operations, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-core, on various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, primarily for heavy machinery components.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine appropriate welding techniques and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, precisely adjusting wire speed, voltage, and gas flow, to ensure optimal weld quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished welds meticulously for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs to meet stringent quality standards.
- Grind, file, and clean weld components to prepare them for welding or to finish welds according to detailed specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and company operational procedures at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance welding skills and knowledge of new techniques and materials.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of junior welders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with various metal fabrication tools and machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, durable welds.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Eligibility to work in Canada or willingness to undergo the necessary immigration processes for foreign workers.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to strict manufacturing standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g., AWS Certified Welder, CWB Certification).
- Previous experience working with heavy equipment or in the mining/manufacturing industry.
- Experience with robotic welding or automated welding systems.
