Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance, always maintaining client dignity.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with safe mobility and transfers as needed, following established protocols.
  • Prepare nutritious and culturally appropriate meals, assisting with feeding, and ensuring all dietary requirements and restrictions are meticulously met.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe living environment for clients.
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and mental stimulation by engaging clients in meaningful activities and conversations.
  • Monitor and meticulously report any changes in the client's physical health, cognitive status, behavior, or overall well-being to family members or designated healthcare professionals.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, errands, and community events, providing safe transportation and support.
  • Adhere strictly to individualized care plans, all safety protocols, and professional standards of care, ensuring client comfort and security.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of care provided, daily observations, and any pertinent client information for continuity of care.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional caregiving experience, preferably in a home care, long-term care, or assisted living setting.
  • Demonstrated compassion, exceptional patience, and profound empathy for individuals requiring personal assistance and support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling clear and effective interaction with clients and their families.
  • Proven ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a larger care team.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and efficient time management abilities.
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and providing mobility support to clients, adhering to proper body mechanics.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe upon hiring).

Preferred Qualifications
