Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assessing patient health, and developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, vital signs, and care provided in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensuring adherence to ethical nursing practices and professional standards.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhering to all provincial and federal healthcare regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, strictly following infection control protocols.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt to new healthcare systems and cultural environments
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in a specialized unit (e.g., ICU, ED, OR)
- Previous experience with international relocation or working abroad
