Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming inventory, packages, and materials from trucks and containers.
- Accurately scan, sort, and stock products in designated warehouse locations using handheld devices.
- Pick customer orders with precision, retrieving items from shelves and placing them in appropriate containers or on conveyors.
- Pack and label outgoing shipments according to Amazon's rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand carts (and potentially forklifts after certification, if applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Work effectively as part of a diverse team to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts that may last 10-12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet (with proper safety equipment and training).
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Basic computer navigation skills for operating warehouse management systems.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
- Experience using an RF scanner or other inventory management technology.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed by business demands.
