Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or other equipment, ensuring items match order specifications.
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or order pickers, after receiving proper training and certification, if applicable.
- Place items in designated containers or on conveyors, preparing them for the next stage of the fulfillment process.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and ensure timely processing of orders.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet Amazon's standards before shipment.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged products, or safety concerns to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts that may last 10-12 hours.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Basic computer navigation skills for using scanning equipment and internal systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment.
- Experience using RF scanners or other warehouse technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
