Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, maintaining precise documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate intervention as needed.
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure ethical and compassionate care delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- One (1) to two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Specialty certification relevant to the clinical area (e.g., PALS, NRP, CCRN).
- Experience working in a multicultural healthcare environment.
