As a Driver Helper, you will work alongside our experienced UPS Drivers, assisting with the physical demands of package delivery and collection. Your primary role will be to safely and efficiently move packages from the delivery vehicle to customers’ doors, ensuring timely service and excellent customer interactions. This role is highly physical, involving frequent lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages that can weigh up to 70 lbs (32 kg). You’ll be navigating various environments, from residential streets to commercial premises, all while upholding UPS’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Assist UPS Drivers with the delivery and collection of packages in designated areas.
- Safely load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, lowering, and carrying packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
- Utilise a hand truck or other equipment to move heavier packages as required.
- Follow specific delivery instructions and routes provided by the UPS Driver.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour with customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages, contributing to customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the UPS Driver and local supervision regarding any issues or concerns.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) repeatedly.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are paramount.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding delivery manifests.
