Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading packages from company vehicles, containers, and conveyor belts, often manually.
- Scanning packages accurately using handheld devices to ensure proper tracking and delivery.
- Sorting packages based on destination, size, and weight, adhering to precise operational guidelines.
- Operating basic material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, dollies) as needed, with potential for further training on specialized equipment.
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning trailers, racks, and general work areas.
- Adhering strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Assisting with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs/ladders for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic English communication skills (read, write, speak).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with scanning technology or material handling equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
