Job Description

WSP in Canada is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our thriving team in Calgary, Alberta. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of complex projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Manage project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Oversee the financial performance of projects, including accurate forecasting, timely invoicing, and stringent cost control.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk management, identifying potential issues and developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present compelling project reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and WSP's internal policies and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including strategic proposal preparation and active client engagement.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for project delivery processes and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically within engineering consulting, infrastructure, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
  • Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and human resources effectively.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Eligibility for TN Visa status (e.g., Canadian or US citizen with relevant qualifications).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
