Job Description

Studio Base is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Studio Assistant to join our dynamic team in Laval, Quebec. This is an urgent hiring, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about music and audio production, possesses excellent organizational skills, and is eager to contribute to a professional studio environment. As a Studio Assistant, you will play a crucial support role in the daily operations of our recording facility, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining equipment, and providing essential assistance to our engineers and clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare recording studios for sessions, including setting up microphones, instruments, and other audio equipment as per engineer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of studio equipment, instruments, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
  • Assist recording engineers during sessions with tasks such as cable management, patch bay configurations, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of studio equipment, cables, and accessories.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, answering phones, and managing studio supplies.
  • Greet and assist clients and artists, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Support the post-production team with file management, data archiving, and project organization.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed within the studio.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the studio.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge of audio equipment, microphones, and signal flow.
  • Proficiency in setting up and tearing down recording gear.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Fluency in French and English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications
