Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants, providing guidance and support.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents, adhering to individual care plans.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Administer medication in accordance with Bupa policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans.
- Ensure the care environment is safe, clean, and comfortable for residents.
- Support new team members through mentorship and training.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant, with some leadership or supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Eligibility for Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for international applicants (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working with residents living with dementia.
- Digital literacy and experience with care planning software.
