Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design calculations, analyses, and prepare technical reports for civil engineering projects.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure components.
  • Utilize CADD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) for drafting and design tasks.
  • Conduct site investigations and collaborate with survey and geotechnical teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Prepare permit applications and support the approval process with regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, theories, and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • Experience with stormwater management, roadway design, or land development projects.
  • Familiarity with local San Antonio/Texas codes and regulations.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, MicroStation, or other specialized design software.
