Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design calculations, analyses, and prepare technical reports for civil engineering projects.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure components.
- Utilize CADD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) for drafting and design tasks.
- Conduct site investigations and collaborate with survey and geotechnical teams.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Prepare permit applications and support the approval process with regulatory agencies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, theories, and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Experience with stormwater management, roadway design, or land development projects.
- Familiarity with local San Antonio/Texas codes and regulations.
- Experience with HEC-RAS, MicroStation, or other specialized design software.
