Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) for security alerts, anomalies, and potential threats.
- Perform initial triage, investigation, and escalation of security incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
- Administer and maintain various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, antivirus, and identity management systems.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in incident response activities, including forensics, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and mitigation steps in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security role (e.g., Security Analyst, SOC Analyst)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewall rules, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC certifications, CISSP).

- Experience in a consulting or managed security services environment.
