Ledcor Group is urgently seeking skilled and dedicated Carpenters to join our dynamic construction teams in Vancouver, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials required.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, hoists, and other temporary structures.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals including project managers, architects, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform general clean-up duties around the job site.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Skills
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent proven experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Carpenter in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to use and maintain a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diverse construction materials and techniques.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in British Columbia.
